How Kohl Designs Brings Ideas to Life with Illustration

When Curiosity Zone hired Kohl Designs to illustrate their characters, I was thrilled. One of my favorite things is to work with my clients to bring their ideas to life. The process of creating an illustration involves detailed conversations with the client to understand their vision. By starting with sketches, I'm able to try different expressions, different shapes, and different positions and gestures until they come alive. I worked with Curiosity Zone to understand the story behind each character, how they would be using these characters, and listened to the music created about them. All of this helped me to understand that each character has a different personality, which was was key to the illustration.
